Chibi-fied October 23, 2009 J. Sherman (New York, USA) Christopher Hart's "Manga Mania" series continues with a how-to on creating supe-deformed characters, anthromorphic catgirls and furry characters. While Hart covers the creation chibis from the ground up, some experience with figure drawing is recommended for the catgirl section. And some of Hart's sample drawings, while unexpectedly good, don't exactly meet fanboy standards. But if you want to draw super-cute characters like the pros do, that's what this book--and practice--is for.

Chibi & Furry September 12, 2009 Max Cantu (Temecula, CA USA) My daughter loved the book for a few weeks. I'm sure she'll go back to it again. She's been told she draws so similarly to the Chibi & Furry series of books.
Cute, but not very helpful... April 18, 2009 Rachel Slater (Las Vegas, NV, USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The art in this book is adorable, there's not denying that, but it's not very helpful for anything other than putting a smile on your face. There's next to no instruction of any kind, and what's there is almost incomplete and completely unhelpful for anyone that doesn't already have a fair degree of skill already. This is great for suggestions, and will probably help with a few details that you might have been leaving out of your chibi drawings, but it's not helpful for much of anything else.
Great March 23, 2009 Dawa I gave it to my friend's daughter and she loved it. Said her friends wants to know where I got it.
A big hit with my 9 year old February 18, 2009 JB in MN (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 4th grade daughter loves to draw and thinks this book is the greatest. She carries the big thing in her backpack with her to school every day so that she and her friends can use it together. I have already picked up two additional copies to give as gifts to her friends who seem to also think its the bomb.
